杨登科顿时就呆了，他怎么也没想到，别的字写出来与所谓书法艺术相去十万八千里的康局长，写这四个字时竟是这般得心应手，如鱼在水。而且比上次写得更加娴熟，看来这段时间康局长没少练这四个字。杨登科脑海里猛然跳出出神入化这个词汇来，心想这四个字，恐怕就是让真正的书法家来写，也不见得比康局长写得这么惊心动魄。想想也是的，一般书法家手上的功夫再深，但于这四个看去很平常的字眼，绝不可能像康局长这样有如此深切的心得和觉悟，而书法的最高境界不就是一种心境悟境甚至化境么？既然要上升到化境的层面，那纯粹的形而下的技术也就无济于事，必须心到意到，才可能功到，尔后功到自然成，这里的功可是超乎普通意义上的书法的。　　康局长对这四个字非常满意。想不到费了九牛二虎之力写出来的字并不怎么样，这么随意写出来的“同意已阅”四个字却风骨凛然，不同凡响。只是写这四个字时，康局长因心力过于集中，压根就没想起自己是在写书法，没有自右至左竖写，而是习惯成自然，像平时签文件和批报告一样，自左至右横写，信手而成，这似乎有违书法作品的惯例。好在没有写成一行，而是“同意”在上，“已阅”在下，看上去还不至于过分呆板。　　感到为难的是落款了。写到右下角，不像书法作品的署名，得写在左下角，可那“同意已阅”四个字却是横着的。　　此时杨登科已在分成两行写成的“同意已阅”上面看出了一点名堂，说：“老板你还是将署名写在左下角吧。”康局长一脸茫然，说：“这不跟同意已阅四个字的写法不相一致了么？”杨登科说：“这么署名没错，到时你就知道了。”康局长依然不知何故，但还是依杨登科所说，将自己的大名竖着写在了左下角。　　事不宜迟，等纸上的字墨迹已干，杨登科就小心将这幅所谓的书法作品卷好，外面用报纸裹了，如获至宝似的，捧着出了康府，然后爬上面包车，朝电大飞驰而去。　　敲开姚老师家门，杨登科打开手上的字幅，姚老师的眼睛便鼓大了，觉得纸上的四个大字不是写上去的，而是双手把紧了大红印章，砰砰砰一下一下戳上去的，每个字仿佛都蕴含了权力的威严和肃穆，可谓入木三分。姚老师感叹道：“仅从书法角度来说，这几个字显得确实粗糙了些，却粗糙得毫无匠气和斧斫之痕，完全是胸有真意，再发乎其外，倒也天然浑成，绝非一般闭门造车的书法家想写就写得出来的。”　　得到姚老师的首肯，康局长的字参展便不在话下。杨登科说：“这可是康局长写得最好的一幅字，是他特意为老师的书法展写的。”姚老师手拈唇下短须，智慧的目光在“同意已阅”四个字上停留了许久，然后沉吟道：“意阅，已同。只觉得这四个字似曾相识，却一时忘了出自哪里了？登科，康局长可否跟你说过？”　　杨登科好不容易才强忍住没笑出来。他知道姚老师看多了书法作品，习惯于先右后左竖读，才把“同意”“已阅”拆成了“意阅”“已同”的。这两个莫名其妙的句不成句，词不是词的东西，恐怕是谁也找不到出处的。这正是杨登科需要的效果。他于是顺着杆子往上爬，说：“康局长没说什么，我也不好多问，怕他笑话我书读到牛*里去了。不过姚老师您放心，康局长是正牌大学毕业生，学的虽然是经济方面的专业，但古文根底高深，读大学时还动过转中文系的念头。估计他是从哪部旧典籍上摘下来的，我总觉得颇有《论语》和《道德经》的味道，说不定就是这些老古董上的大言。管他呢，中华文明源远流长，各类典章旧籍简直是浩如烟海，任何人皓首穷经，也不可能遍览累积了数千年的皇皇卷帙。而康局长拿这两句话作字，不更显得有书卷气和文化味么？”　　姚老师收回落在徽纸上的目光，望望窗外灰蒙蒙的天空，说：“我也有这种感觉。你回去告诉康局长，下周开展时，我将这幅作品挂在最当眼的地方，说不定还能评个奖呢!”

Oct. 28, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Wuxi Little Swan<000418>, a Jiangsu-based washing machine maker, will hold an opening ceremony for its new facilities in Wuxi New District tomorrow, sources reported.

The new facilities, which cost RMB 550 million, will be able to output 4.1 million washing machines.

Wuxi Little Swan said in a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange that it will invest an additional RMB 100 million in the facility, which currently has a floor area of 240,000 square meters.

It is expected that Wuxi Little Swan will ultimately have 10 washing machine production lines, together capable of producing 5 million high-end washing machines per year.

The firm's total revenue for the third quarter of this year was nearly RMB 1.02 billon, up 1.55% year on year, whereas its net profit jumped 46.24% year on year to RMB 68.46 million during the period, according to sources.

Oct. 12, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Black Peony (Group) Co Ltd<600510> and Sunshine City Group Co Ltd<000671> have released a joint notice that they plan to develop a 1,180-Mu commercial property project in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, sources reported.

According to the letter of intent the two partners signed on Sep. 30, they will set up a joint venture with a registered capital of about RMB 200 million. The Shanghai-listed enterprise will hold a 51% stake in the JV and the Shenzhen-listed firm will hold the remaining 49%. Sunshine City will provide funding for construction and operations.

Nov. 5, 2009 (China Knowledge) - The combined value of export contracts signed during the 106th China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair, rose 16.2% from the 105th session in April to US$30.47 billion, according to a statement published on the website of the Ministry of Commerce yesterday.

The number of buyers attending the Canton Fair, the most well-known trade fair in China, increased 13.7% from the previous session to 188,170, said the MOC.

Export value of mechanical and electrical products rose 20.7% from the previous session to US$13.59 billion, accounting for 44.6% of the total, and that of light industry products grew 16.6% to US$9.76 billion. Exports of textiles and garments climbed 5.9% to US$3.42 billion, while that of home appliances increased 11.3% to US$5.31 billion.

Transactions with China's three major export partners, the EU, the Middle East and the U.S., were US$9.33 billion, US$4.26 billion and US$4 billion, up 23.3%, 3.3% and 20.9% from the previous session, respectively. Exports to Brazil saw a 98.8% surge to US$1.07 billion.

Exports of private firms grew 17.5% to US$19.59 billion, while those of state-owned enterprises climbed 10.2% to US$5.75 billion. The exports of foreign-funded companies were US$5.23 billion, up 18.1% from the previous session.

The fair was held in South China's Guangzhou, Guangdong Province beginning on Oct. 15 and ending Nov. 4.

Aug. 5, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Shanghai Airlines Co Ltd<600591>, the city's second-largest carrier, Tuesday said it expected a net loss for the first half of this year because of the poor performance of its cargo unit, the Shanghai Daily reported.

Cargo income at Shanghai Airlines Cargo Intel Co decreased significantly in the first six months of this year due to the financial crisis and the outbreak of the A/H1N1 flu, the carrier said in a preliminary earnings report to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The company is set to release its first-half results later this month.

It reported net losses of RMB 1.25 billion for 2008 and RMB 435 million for 2007.

In the first half of last year, it reported a net profit of RMB 23 million.

Shanghai Airlines currently is in merger talks with China Eastern Airlines Ltd<600115><0670><CEA>, the country's third-largest carrier. The merger is expected to help the carriers secure more than 50% of Shanghai's air passenger market.

SHANGHAI, March 2 - China's main stock indexbounced from early losses to end slightly higher on Monday afterbrokerage CLSA's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) showeddeterioration in the Chinese manufacturing sector slowing.

Add two more wheels to a motorcycle and you will have a car. That was what automakers including BMW AG and Honda Motor Co. Ltd. did to continue to succeed in the era of auto consumption.

Four years ago, China's privately owned motorcycle producer Chongqing Lifan Industry (Group) Co. Ltd. followed in their footsteps and started producing compact cars.

As a counter-crisis effort, the now third largest sedan exporter in China officially introduced its new mini model, Lifan 320, on May 7 to enrich its product line. During its six-city promotion in May, the four-door clone of BMW Group's Mini Cooper priced at 50,000 yuan ($7,153) received more than 1,000 orders.

The company received overseas orders totaling $170 million at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, fueled mainly by demand for its 320 model, said Liao Xionghui, General Manager of Lifan Motor Sales.

"Sales of mini cars will become a new growth point for us," he told Beijing Review. He added although the financial crisis caused the company's exports to drop by 40 percent year on year in the first quarter, booming domestic sales have offset most of the overseas losses.

"The most important thing for China's independent automakers now is to survive," Lifan's President Yin Mingshan said.

In order to do that, Lifan has invited two strategic investors since last year and wants more. Meanwhile, Yin is adhering to a policy of "less is better." The company has slowed down its launch of new cars while ensuring that each model becomes popular and sells well.

From two wheels to four

Yin made his money by selling books in the 1980s and invested 200,000 yuan ($29,283) in Lifan in 1992 to make motorcycles. In less than a decade, he turned its motorcycle repair workshop into a motorcycle kingdom.

Lifan topped its domestic competitors in terms of motorcycle engine sales, ranking third in the country in terms of vehicle sales in 2005 and was China's largest motorcycle exporter that year.

But prior to that, competitive prices have already driven down the company's profit margins. In Southeast Asia, where Lifan has hoped for increased sales, each motorcycle generated only 30-40 yuan ($4.4-4.8) in profit in 2005.

Lifan had attempted diversity and invested widely in alcohol, cigarette and garment manufacturing and the real estate sector from 2001 to 2004. However, most of these attempts failed until Yin found a four-wheel solution in 2005.

Yin made another bold decision at the age of 65. Unlike its previous investments in irrelevant industries, the company aimed to upgrade its vehicle production and focus on automobile manufacturing now because "the golden age of motorcycle makers passed," he said.

Experiences from developed countries such as the United States and Japan indicate that societies enter an era of car consumption when their annual per-capita GDP exceeds $1,200. China's per-capita GDP exceeded $1,000 in 2003 and reached $3,300 last year.

"It's a reliable and effective expansion, because it's easy for Lifan to transfer its experience and technologies in the motorcycle segment to the passenger car segment," Yin said.

Today Lifan has sedan, truck and passenger car production lines. During the past four years, it has introduced its 520, 520i and 620 models and opened production plants in Viet Nam, Iran, Ethiopia and Russia.

Counter-crisis solutions

But Lifan failed to meet its sales goal last year and had to adjust its expectation for 2009 to 60,000 vehicles, because of its crisis-affected overseas sales.

May 7, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Bank of Communications (BoComm), partly owned by HSBC Holdings Plc, has extended an RMB 15 billion (US$2.2 billion) credit line to China Southern Airlines Co, in a move to shore up the country's aviation industry, the Shanghai Daily reported.

China Southern Airlines, the largest airline by fleet size in the country, have inked agreements with the lender to form a long-term strategic partnership. The two sides will cooperate in aircraft leasing, aircraft financing, lending and bills, according to the lender's statement.

BoComm will also provide financial services such as investment banking, private banking and global cash management to the carrier.

BoComm said that the aviation industry is one of the key sectors that the bank has been attaching great importance to. China Southern Airlines, a major player in the country's aviation industry, is one of the bank's major clients.

The bank is optimistic about the development of China's aviation industry due to the country's long-term economic growth, according to an earlier statement of Qian Wenhui, executive vice president of BoComm.

Last year, China Southern Airlines, Air China Ltd and China Eastern Airlines recorded a combined loss of RMB 28 billion, sources said.

H-shares of China Southern Airlines edged up 0.94% to close at HK$2.14 on Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, March 6 - Chinese stocks fell back onFriday as short-term speculators took profits after the marketsurged over the previous two days on hopes for an early economicrecovery.

The Shanghai Composite Index, which had rocketed 7.22 percenton Wednesday and Thursday, ended Friday down 1.26 percent at2,193.007 points, after hitting a low of 2,171.668.

Turnover in Shanghai A shares shrank to 105.2 billion yuan($15.4 billion) from Thursday's 154.1 billion yuan. LosingShanghai A shares outnumbered gainers by 581 to 341.

Financials and industrial metals, which led this week's rise,bore the brunt of profit-taking. Bank of China fell 2.19 percentto 3.58 yuan after soaring 14.38 percent in the past two days,while Aluminum Corp of China (Chalco) lost 2.80 percent to 9.39yuan after gaining 9.52 percent.

Much of this week's buying of stocks was short-termspeculation fuelled by loose monetary policy and agovernment-directed surge in bank lending, analysts believe. Thatcould leave the market vulnerable to a pull-back if economic dataand news on government policies disappoint.

A senior economic planning official said on Friday that thegovernment needed to wait and see before deciding if additionaleconomic stimulus was needed. This contradicted hopes that Chinamight announce an expansion of its 4 trillion yuan stimulus planduring the annual parliament session ending next week.

But investors still expect the government to expand fiscalspending later if economic data deteriorates, and officials arecontinuing to sound cautiously optimistic about the economy. Thisappears likely to prevent any extended market downtrend.

Central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan said on Friday thatChina saw signs of its economy recovering. Late on Thursday,deputy central bank governor Su Ning said: "We expect China'seconomy can see a substantial recovery in the second half of thisyear."

Qian Xiangjing, analyst at CITIC-Kington Securities, said themarket would face heavy profit-taking pressure between 2,300points and 2,400 points, where the index peaked in mid-Februarybefore falling back sharply.

"Prime Minister Wen did not mention fresh stimulus plans onThursday, so it may be inccreasingly unrealistic to expectpositive policy news as the parliament session goes on," he said.

An economic recovery would not necessarily mean any earlysolution to problems which have hurt the market for 18 months: amediocre outlook for corporate profits as margins are pressured,and an imbalance between demand for and potential supply ofshares as institutional investors' lock-up periods expire.

With the average premium of Chinese A shares over HongKong-listed H shares at a high 62 percent, worries about highvaluations may weigh on any further A-share rally.

"The index may face pressure next week -- the flow ofpositive news may decrease, while worries over upcoming weakearnings announcements may weigh on sentiment," said Zhang Qi,analyst at Haitong Securities.

SHANGHAI/HONG KONG, Oct 12 - Tengzhong, a little-known Chinese machinery maker that has agreed to buy GM's Hummer brand, aims to close the deal by early 2010 and has begun to seek regulatory approval for the purchase.

Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery's lack of experience in the auto industry had stirred doubts over the deal, while state media said the Chinese government could harbour objections to taking over a gaz-guzzling SUV brand.

Tengzhong, which first announced its intent to buy Hummer in June, has been in touch with the Chinese government after signing the landmark deal to acquire the brand last week, a spokeswoman from Tengzhong said on Monday.

"We have started communicating with the relevant regulatory bodies and will continue to support the application process in accordance with the requirements," she said, adding Tengzhong hoped to close the deal late this year or early 2010.

The purchase agreement with General Motors Co, signed on Friday, underscores the fast rise and global ambitions of the Chinese auto industry, populated by a wide range of fast-growing, aggressive car makers such as Geely Automobile, SAIC Motor Corp and BYD.

A source close to Tengzhong previously told Reuters the Hummer business would be sold for about $150 million, far less than GM's earlier estimate that the brand could fetch more than $500 million. Tengzhong will gain a globally known brand, intellectual property, a trademark and manufacturing expertise with the deal.

The Tengzhong spokeswoman did not specify which government bodies Tengzhong had contacted for approval of the deal.

China's Ministry of Commerce has authority over the deal while the National Development and Reform Commission would have to approve any new major investment in the country, such as building a new manufacturing base.

Tengzhong also needs to get vehicle-production license from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

A spokesman from the Ministry of Commerce said the ministry had yet to receive an application for the deal.

The Tengzhong spokeswoman said the company would explore opportunities to set up a Hummer manufacturing base in China targeting the Chinese market.

The deal must also be approved by U.S. regulators.

LACK OF DETAILS

Initial sentiment toward the sale was negative in China, with many questioning why a Chinese firm with no experience running a major Western brand would want to buy a struggling name known for its large gas-guzzling vehicles.

But the mood has turned more neutral since then, with regulators saying such purchases should be allowed when they make commercial sense.

Still the lack of details could prove a troubling sign for the deal and its future down the road, said John Zeng, an analyst with consulting firm IHT Global Insights.

"All we know is that it owns the Hummer brand and the right to use the technologies, and that by itself does not sound like a good deal as some of the existing models like H2 model is a gas guzzler that is going downhill," he said.

The deal marks the first time that Chinese investors have stepped in as major buyers into the distressed U.S. auto industry, and comes after China surpassed the United States to become the world's largest auto market.

Under the deal, Lumena Resources Corp Chairman Suolang Duoji would hold 20 percent of the investment vehicle buying Hummer. Tengzhong would hold the remaining 80 percent.

Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd gave 183 units of 8.5 meter-long coaches August 15 to Kyrgyzstan free of charge.

Shanghai, July 16 (Gasgoo.com) Geely Holding Group Co. is expected to submit a final bid by later this monthwith an offer anticipated to be around $2 billion, according to people familiar with Geely, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The private Chinese automaker has been working for almost three years on its takeover plan for Volvo, key elements of which people familiar with the plans described to The Wall Street Journal. Geely is bidding at the parent company level, not through its Hong Kong-listed unit Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd.

The company has hired consultants to advise it, including Peter Zhang, a financial controller from BP PLC, and he tapped Hans-Olav Olsson, Volvo's former top executive. It has also appointed a veteran Chinese finance executive to spearhead the effort. Geely reconfirmed its interest in Ford Motor's Volvo unit in March.

Aug. 21, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese shoe sole manufacturer Multi Sports Holdings Ltd started trading on the main board of Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, sources reported.

It is the second foreign enterprise that listed on the bourse.

Multi Sports' shares closed at RM 0.815 in the morning trading session after hitting a high of RM 0.89 shortly after debuting. The company's IPO price was set at RM0.85.

The company decided to list in Malaysia as the global financial crisis didn't have much impact on the Malaysian bourse compared with other countries, said Multi Sports Chief Executive Lin Houzhi.

The firm planned to raise RM58 million from the IPO. Part of the proceeds is expected to build a second factory in China to triple its output capacity to 74.6 million pairs of soles per year.

China-based sportswear company Xingquan International Sports Holdings Ltd began trading on the Malaysian bourse on Jul. 10 this year. Its shares closed at RM 1.43 at mid-day Wednesday, down 16% from its IPO price of RM 1.71.

The Malaysian government recently canceled the equity requirement in a bid to attract more foreign listing. It also canceled listing fees and granted fast-tracked approvals to Xingquan and Multi Sports.

"We need a test track to experiment with different driving conditions. I'd like to drive the car on a highway to feel it; then I can tell whether it's comfortable to sit in the seat.

I have problem with the indicator. I'm not familiar with this car so I would need to test it for at least a week.

The plastic cover makes it hard for me to read the dashboard.

I like driving the manual transmission model, but it feels good driving an automatic one too.

China's largest private shipbuilder has signed the biggest deal in the world this year in terms of dead weight tons, according to the company.

Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries Group signed a contract Friday with Oman Shipping to build four iron ore carriers, each with a dead weight of 400,000 tons.

The deal is the second largest for the company after a contract for 12 iron ore carriers was inked with Brazilian mining giant Vale, in August.

Vale will also lease the four new carriers from Oman Shipping, according to Jiangsu Rongsheng.

The deal will give a significant boost to the shipbuilder.

Jiangsu Rongsheng President Chen Qiang was quoted by Reuters Friday as saying that he expected revenue and profit to double this year.

“Few shipbuilders have received new orders since August. The deal will definitely help Jiangsu Rongsheng,” Qian Xinnan, deputy secretary general of China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, told the Global Times.

Statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed that China's new shipbuilding orders plunged 96 percent in the first five months of the year to 1.18 million dead weight tons compared with the same period last year.

At the end of May, new ship orders were less than 1 million tons a month for eight months in a row, according to Clarkson PLC, a leading provider of integrated shipping services.

The less than five-year-old Jiangsu Rongsheng has delivered eight ships to date – two oil tankers and six bulk carriers, according to the company's website.

A total of five investment institutions, led by Goldman Sachs and US fund DE Shaw, bought a 20 percent stake in the company for $250 million in late 2007.

Jiangsu Rongsheng announced last year that it was planning an initial public offering (IPO) of up to $2 billion.

In February it was widely reported by the media that the company was facing financial difficulties and had delayed IPO plans amid a stock market plunge and credit crunch.

Jiangsu Rongsheng denied rumors of financial difficulty.

The company received 11.3 billion yuan ($1.65 billion) in credit from Bank of China on June 1.

Zhang Ming, Jiangsu Rongsheng managing director, was quoted by Dow Jones Friday as saying that the company was planning an IPO before the end of 2010.

Rivals Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Jiangsu East Heavy Industry were listed in Singapore last year.

到了半夜，他们才从咖啡厅出来。评说着今夜的良宵美景，徐春琴和苏春燕陪着醉醺醺的文修云拉在了后边。

一号核岛施工现场，直径四十米的安全壳穹顶半球形钢壳，经核三六公司预制组焊完工，扣在核反应堆厂房侧面的场地上，这个与核安全密切相关的庞然大物特 别显眼。

核反应堆厂房安全壳穹顶不仅要经得住核事故情况下厂房的内压，还要能抗住外部飞机从高空直接撞击的破坏力，施工要求很严格。

现在，必须由核三五公司在穹顶钢壳内部，把附着穹顶内壁的管道固定焊牢，然后才能把一百多吨的钢壳，吊到六十米高的反应堆厂房顶上。

固定在穹顶内壁的这些管道系统，在发生核事故时，能自动喷射出冷却水降低反应堆厂房内部压力，减轻事故后果。

开工之前，三五公司召开了誓师大会。

“打胜第一仗为国争光”的横幅标语挂在主席台上方。上千人的会场上，呼口号声和誓师发言的洪亮嗓音，从一排排飘扬着的彩旗下传出，气氛热烈而隆重。核电工地自开工以来，第一次出现这么热闹的大会，以致那些老外有些纳闷地问身边的翻译：“他们在干什么？”

穹顶下的管道安装施工正值酷暑季节，在这个如同反扣的巨型铁锅里边，太阳的热力透过钢板传入锅内积蓄起来，热气只进不出，再加上焊接作业散发的热气，白天壳内的气温达到四五十度，核三五公司的工人们穿着厚厚的工作服，在这么高的温度下作业，汗水把衣服浸得一个个如同刚从水里爬出来的。核工业队伍吃苦耐劳的传统，正在核电建设工地上继续发挥着它的威势。林平山看了非常感动：“我们核工业的工人，多么纯朴呀！”

吴惠才正在现场巡视。他现在是核岛安装处的辅助系统科科长，主管三五公司的施工。见林平山来了，吴惠才走过来对他说：“三五公司把许师傅几位顶尖的焊工都安排来突击穹顶管道安装了，说这叫集中兵力。”

林平山点点头：“这几位老师傅的活儿是没说的，只是今后整个队伍全面铺开怎么办？”看到里边焊接产生的烟雾让人睁不开眼，他说：“要提醒他们加强通风，注意安全，还要预防中暑。”

小吴点头说：“正在叫他们加装一条送风的软管。”

弗芒公司的质量监督队也派人在现场跟踪检查，一位叫波尔的监督员对林平山说：“你们中国工人很能吃苦，难以想像！”

林平山爬上脚手架，拿起一个防护罩，观察许师傅作业。

许师傅大名叫许宗明，林平山早就听说老许干活儿一丝不苟。他看到许师傅的操作完全符合规范的要求，感受到这位核工业战线老工人的严谨作风。趁许师傅换焊条的工夫，他问道：“许师傅，能不能让全公司的焊工都做到像你这样规范化操作呢？”

许师傅看了林平山一眼，叹口气说：“现在的小青年不同了。不说我自己，就说我的师傅吧，解放前给老板干活儿，有一丁点儿差错，就得丢饭碗。这些年，工程少了，老人也都快没了，老传统没剩多少，新玩意儿还没学会……”

许师傅的话，使林平山陷入沉思。尖端技术由平凡的劳动组合而成，技术复杂的核电站必须由成千上万普通工人几年时间的作业才能建成，就如一台复杂的电子仪器，是由大量的普通电子元件组焊成的。只要有几个电子元件出问题，就会发生仪器故障电脑死机。

核电站施工过程中，少数工人不按规定操作，严重情况下就可能造成核事故。让所有工人都像许师傅那样规范化操作，是工程质量的关键。

从工地出来，他心有所触，决定到三五公司去一下。

到了三五公司营地，看到陆世堂正在跟办公室主任老蔡研究往现场张贴鼓动标语的事儿，就说：“陆总，穹顶管道安装是第一仗，也是现场培训的好机会。建议你们把年轻焊工们也派到现场去，学习老师傅们的作风。”

陆世堂听了，不以为然：“老林，我们是把穹顶管道安装作为一项政治任务来对待的。许师傅的那些招儿，焊接培训课都讲过。”

林平山看他没理解，解释说：“问题是在实际操作中要切实做到。”

焊接是核系统安装最关键、最基础的工艺，今后的安装作业离不开焊接，这一环要是没把好，就会满盘输。林平山对此很不放心。

见林平山坚持，知道不答应他不会轻易走，老陆只好说：“林经理，这事儿完了我马上安排，你放心吧！”

林平山尽管不放心，也不好再说什么，老陆送他出门，还是转过身来再次叮咛：“老陆，你们要往前多考虑几步，不能只盯着眼前。”

老陆笑着说：“放心吧！又不是头一回接工程。”

经过核三六公司和核三五公司的艰苦努力，特别是三六公司在头一年整顿之后采取有力措施，赶上了最初质量事故所耽误的工期，一号反应堆厂房封顶与计划日期一天不差地如期进行。

厂房穹顶钢壳吊装的这天天不亮，林平山就来到封顶作业的吊装现场。

把直径四十米重量一百多吨的巨型半球形钢壳吊到六十多米的高空，扣到厂房顶上，已经接近大型吊车起重能力的极限。起吊过程还要不断变换角度和位置，角度、高度和速度如有一项掌握不好，就可能发生颠覆事故。这么大、这么重的构件如果从高空摔落地上，构件和设备会全部损坏、现场大量人员伤亡，后果非常可怕。
